BGTEnvironmental, LLC (BGTE) is currently seeking a Senior Project Geologist/Project Manager with approximately 5-7 years’ experience to support our growing environmental consulting practice in our Moodus Connecticut office. The ideal candidate for this position is a motivated environmental consulting professional with the desire to foster technical excellence and strong client relationships. This candidate will be an integral part of our growing Women Owned Small Business and must be willing to perform work both in the office as well as in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
- Managing projects, delegating to office and field staff, and executing day to day activities of projects
- Conducting internal and client communications
- Monitoring project performance for compliance with contractual agreements and budgets
- Providing business development support
- Preparing proposals and reviewing/writing environmental reports with Senior LEP guidance and review
- Mentoring BGTE staff
- Conducting/reviewing technical analyses/calculations
- Participating in meetings with clients and regulatory authorities
- Conducting site inspection and performing field sampling activities as necessary
- Strong working knowledge of and experience with environmental due diligence (Environmental Site Assessments), thorough understanding of the CT Property Transfer Act Program, and Remediation Standard Regulations (RSR’s)
- This opportunity does not require an LEP License, but an individual on track to become a Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) is preferred
- Experience conducting site investigations and remediation
- Provide environmental consulting services for site investigations related to soil, groundwater, soil vapor, indoor air, and sediment sampling
- Manage task assignments and help mentor/train other staff as required
- Balance of field and office assignments
- Willingness to perform field sampling activities when necessary
- Preparation of technical deliverables, data analysis, and mapping for site assessment reports and remedial action plans and reports
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geological/Environmental Sciences (Master’s Degree is a plus)
- Experience at consulting environmental firm(s) and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations throughout Connecticut
- Experience with design and management of environmental remediation, compliance and permitting projects
- Self-starter, able to complete tasks with collaborative supervision and direction
- Demonstrate professional judgment, consistency, strong attention to detail, and background of high-quality work products
- Demonstrate performance of independent analysis, problem solving and strong organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience preparing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge and the ability to review the reports of others
- Possess or have completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and 8-hour refresher training
- Registered Women Owned Small Business in the State of CT
- Two Licensed Environmental Professional’s (LEP’s) on senior leadership staff
